CLEAVAGE

When we are not the girl next door type it is much more challenging to conquer the mainstream consciousness. It was never easy for me. I was just very persistent. I have always been a fish swimming up stream. CLEAVAGE has provided a wonderful vehicle for me to express myself as well as allowing me to have a voice that can be heard.

Based upon what you have told me, I have many suggestions that I hope you will find helpful.

For starters, you should have a good professional photographer. You need to have a solid working relationship with him/her so that you can get the feel for each other. He has to know the best way to light and shoot you. You should practice posing in the mirror and find the best angles that compliment your figure. Even the thinnest models, if caught wrong, can appear thick. A good photographer can assist you with posing. Ideally, it is best for you to practice on your own and develop your own style. This is essential in reducing the number of bad shots versus useable ones.

A good make-up/hair stylist is also a must. Unless you are well versed and skilled in this area, you could be doing yourself a grave disservice. Often a good stylist is versatile and can change your look to compliment your facial structure. Proper make-up application can contour and highlight features that can enhance, reduce and alter your appearance.

The selection of flattering clothing is also important. Sometimes costumes/wardrobe can make or break the shoot, especially if you need to camouflage certain flaws. No one is perfect. We all have imperfections, but by choosing the right clothing you can reduce the risk of poor shots.

With all of this in mind, you should be able to improve the quality of pictures that you are submitting. However, the most important ingredient in a good shoot is not so much the day of the shoot, but your daily maintenance.
